My Advocacy Work
Dr. Belgrave Says... “We are doing science every minute, every second of the day - You are the biology that we are studying!”
I deeply enjoy participating in giving key note speeches, participating on panels, being an expert judge at science fairs, exhibitions, career days and symposiums. My goals in seeking out these kinds of events?

“Science is not only for scientists”
My Science
Dr. Belgrave Says... “
I have experience in behavioral neuroscience laboratories working primarily in spinal cord regeneration and investigated the genetics associated with Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. My doctoral research focused on the impacts of maternal hormones on the spacial and long-term memory of female rats who had experienced multiple occurrences of pregnancy and raising offspring.
My Perspective: Nurturing the Spark
Dr. Belgrave Says... “
We are doing biology every second of our lives! We use the scientific method consistently. Do you cook or bake? That’s chemistry! Do you play pool? That’s physics and geometry! STEM permeates our lives.
I help people from all walks of life see the beauty in science and how it relates to their lives as well as nurture that spark of curiosity for it by engaging them in a fun way, leveraging their curiosity and aiming to elicit wonder.
